I've just bought an AKAI GX 4000D, but the outer capstan cylinder for 7.1/2 speed is missing. Is there anybody out there, that can help me with this problem??
Appreciate an answer.

You will probably find it difficult to obtain this part.
However, All is not lost.
Take the existing capstan [Cylinder !] to a machine shop or modeller and ask them to copy it but make the OUTSIDE diameter exactly twice the size.. But don't lose the original .

There is no original cylinder, just the shaft, which is not easily removed or remanufactured. We have 2 possible sources for the sleeve listed on this site. Look at the top of the page. Click on the second item, FAQ and look at Item 14 in the list. Try the second source because they show them in stock.
